One of my favourite things about documentary filmmaking is the fact that you get to learn libraries of knowledge with each assignment.
On this particular assignment, I was tasked with capturing footage for the Contentment Foundation. Documenting some of their work and impact in Uganda.
What blew my mind on this one is the fact that there's a non profit that exists to empower people with sustainable wellbeing practices that strengthen relationships and transform communities. 🙌 As in Wow!! Check it out here if you don't believe me: https://www.contentment.org/ 😁
😀 And sometimes I get a great documentation brief on paper, but find that the implementing team is simply "hired hands" on this particular trip however, I had the benefit and great privilege of having a ride along with the Senior Program lead for Africa, Susan Gathu and found that she is the total embodiment of what the organisation is all about. It was truly refreshing. Not to mention her high level of professionalism which is such a rare gem here in Uganda. 😅
😀 I could speak for days, but all this to say, it was truly a pleasure doing this one. The first video from the footage I captured has been released (Footage was edited from HQ in the US)
