NATIV Shorts 2024 1st place Winner

In July 2024, I was honoured to win first place in the NATIV Shorts 2024 competition, a platform celebrating African creativity. My journey to this achievement was fraught with challenges, from tight deadlines and technical setbacks to last-minute adjustments. Despite these obstacles, I created a short film and photography project centred on the theme of "Family, Food, and Flavour," interpreting it through the lens of strong family values and servant leadership. Through heartfelt storytelling, I sought to challenge stereotypes and highlight the vital role of fathers and family in shaping Africa’s future. The judges praised my work for its emotional depth, narrative structure, and cultural richness, reaffirming my belief in the power of storytelling to inspire change. This experience reminded me of the importance of perseverance, faith, and community support, both in filmmaking and in life.
